Prizren & Pristina 2 Days Tour from Tirana. This tour will take you to see the most important landmarks of this city. You will discover and learn about the history of this place and you will love it even more. We will walk and explore all the important landmarks in Prizren and Pristina.
We will pick you up at your hotel, at 7:00 am, and we head to Morina Pass Border checkpoint, which is located between Kukes and Prizren. Arrive in Pristina at about 11.00. (About 4 hours drive). Situated around 260 Km from Tirana, Pristina is the Capital of Kosovo and furthermore, the largest city at the same time.
Kosovo is a beautiful country with great landscapes. It has a lot to offer, especially after the war it has been built in a short time. Visit the NEWBORN typographic sculpture that symbol of Kosovo’s freedom. They paint it every year, to emphasize that they are free and this means another year of freedom. Learn the troubling history of Pristina.
Then we will head towards the National Library of Kosovo, which is built in a prison-like theme to show that even though Kosovo was conquered so many years now it is looking towards the future, as the books are the future of every nation. Moreover, we are going to explore the Carshia mosque and see it’s beauty. After that, we will head towards the Ethnographic Museum.
Even though Pristina is a Muslim city, a cathedral is there for the minority of the Orthodox Community, and it’s an important landmark. Visit the second Scanderbeg Square in the world, which is located in Kosovo. Kosovo and Albania were united in the heart by the same National Hero for whom both countries are proud. Some free time in Pristina and enjoy the newest born country in Europe.
Later we will continue our journey and stop in Prizren. The second most populous city and municipality of Kosovo. It is located on the banks of the Prizren River between the foothills of the Sharr Mountains in southern Kosovo. We visit at first the Fortress over the town hill, (appropriate footwear recommended).
Next, we visit the Museum of the League of Prizren and another important landmark for the locals and in the same time a touristic destination, the Mehmet Pasha Hamam, an old Turkish bath. Later we will take a walk through Carshia e Vjeter, and admire old architectural buildings such as Sinan Pasha Mosque, St George Orthodox Cathedral, and many traditional small shops.
A walk through Prizren’s stone bridge, between 15th and 16th centuries, which is on the way to “Tek Syla” restaurant, which is known for its grilled specialties. We finish here the tour to let you enjoy a tasty lunch of grilled Kosovo specialties here.
