All inscriptions relate to acts on the freeing of slaves issued on behalf of the highest authorities in the Prasaebes Koinon: the strateg, the prostatas and the priest of Asclepius. Inscriptions contain the names of the released slave, his owner, and the list of witnesses to their release. The inscriptions date to the mid -2 nd century BC, when Buthrotum was still the centre of an autonomous koinon, before turning into a Roman colony.
