Berat & Mount Tomorr visit, 2 Days from Tirana

Leave Tirana at 07.00. During our journey we will have a short stop before we reach the base of the Sacred Tomorr mountain.  Reaching the summit on foot is an undertaking to which truly trained people can dedicate, but you will arrive at the top in comfort and safely by 4×4 car. The first part of  climb you will realize how human activity has shaped the slopes and the dips of the sacred mountain. Small farms, olive groves, pastures for sheep, goats and cows slowly give way to a more barren terrain, where nature takes up more space. The cultivated land gives way to huge pine forests, which turn into beech woods as you go over 1,100-1,200 meters.
You too, arrived at 2,400 meters above sea level on board the jeeps, have the opportunity to visit the mausoleum and enjoy a splendid view. Walking around the summit of the Sacred Tomorr mountain you will discover what man’s relationship with the high lands is and why these environments have always been heralds of spirituality.
Returning to Berat you will have the opportunity to stop and visit the Bogova waterfalls, to discover the most spectacular part of Albania. Here you will find a high falls gorge (20 meters) which rises above a series of pools. The Bogova waterfalls are still an intact site, surrounded by greenery, where you can enjoy the spectacle of nature. You can also enjoy the Osum river valley. All around dense forests of trees give off a unique color. return to Berat late afternoon. Dinner and Overnight in Berat.

After a Delicious breakfast in hotel we will start the tour visiting the magnificent city of Berati. We will visit 3 Historic Neighborhoods: Gorica, Mangalemi and Kala (Castle). We will walk on the old streets in the castle and visit the churches build since XIV century, Red and White Mosques belonging to Otoman period and the museum of Onufri the famous painter of XV century.
Lunch will be organized in Berat. After lunch we will return to Tirana.

Everyone should have: hiking shoes, jacket, sunglasses, camera, water, backpack and rain coat.
