Bovilla Lake Tour from Tirana. Drive towards the Bovilla lake, one of the most beautiful panoramic roads near Tirana. When we reach there, we have a nice stop for a photo with nice background over the lake and the mountains surrounding the lake.

The lake of Bovilla lies on the northeastern side of Tirana, between two mountain ranges. The mountain around the lake, named Gamit, eventually is the closest mountain near the capital, to practise hiking. Bovilla lake is a touristic destination, especially in the season May to October, while the lake offers a magnificent view and above all, it is only 20 km from Tirana and 60 km from Durres.
Pick up from the hotel and drive towards the Bovilla Lake . The road is about 20 km distance following through suburbs of Tirana surroundings where you will be seeing the everyday life of people. We drive up the dam, afterwards we reach Bovilla Lake and we start prepare to hike in Mount Gamti. The track to hike is a simple level where every step gives us a more beautiful view as we reach the top. Hiking lasts about 40 minutes.
On the top of the hill there is an impressive view of the lake and and above all the green hills surrounding it. Time to rest, to enjoy the gorgeous view. After that, we return back to the same track, which takes about 30 minutes altogether. Meanwhile, we can make a short stop at the river below the dam where the canyons are unique, and additionally a possibility to swim in the fresh water of the river.
